Jesse Krautwurst with astrophotography gear

Distant Light Photography is a collection of original space photos, taken by me, Jesse Krautwurst.

Every frame in this collection is the result of weeks, months, or sometimes years, of effort. Bringing these images to life requires many hours of digital camera exposure, taken by precision-cooled, computerized cameras on a specialized, motorized, carefully-aligned telescope.

I take all of my images in true-color - the same colors your eyes see - which means I have to drive to very remote locations in order to escape the interference of human light pollution.

Only when all of the right factors combine - clear weather, new moon, no forest fire smoke, and a dry, cool remote location - am I able to take these photos. The result is having views into the universe around us that were impossible to imagine just years ago.

I'd love to hear from you, reach me on my socials or email me any time at jesse@distantlight.photo.

25% of profits from any print or calendar purchases from my shop are donated to the DarkSky International.
